Fab-u-lous ! Shame we were only there one night !

We had our wedding ceremony at Craig-y-Dderwen Riverside Hotel and honestly couldn’t have picked a better place. We first stayed at the hotel during the August Bank Holiday in 2025 in the four-poster hot tub rooms and absolutely fell in love with the room, the hotel, the views and the whole atmosphere. So when we decided to get married and started looking at venues, it felt like the obvious choice. We kept things small with just the two of us and two witnesses, and chose a midweek date outside the school holidays, so Wales was beautifully quiet and peaceful. Every member of staff at the hotel was amazing — friendly, funny, welcoming and genuinely helpful throughout. They made everything feel easy and relaxed from start to finish. Booking the rooms and arranging the ceremony was super straightforward, and they were brilliant when our florist and photographer arrived on the day. My makeup artist and her daughter stayed in the other hot tub room and absolutely loved it too. The hotel grounds are stunning, and we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather on the day which made it even more special. The food in the hotel was top notch as well. We honestly couldn’t recommend Craig-y-Dderwen highly enough for either a relaxing stay or a wedding venue.

Perfect location for Betws-y-coed if you want a little peace and quiet in your mornings and evenings with a beautiful view of the river. Super dog friendly with excellent staff/service. Cannot recommend enough.

Excellent except for making us pay extra for a bathrobe. The room, the view, the breakfast was all fantastic.

My favourite place to stay. Their tiny cabins by the water is my most relaxing stays to get away from city in recharge, absolutely wonderful receptionist and it is so beautiful and quiet you will never want to leave ☺️✨

I didn't stay here, I went to use the electric car chargers, but I was so impressed with the place we went back that evening to have dinner. You could say it was pricey at £55 for two courses or £65 for three but it's like all things in life you get what you pay for, and I thought the meal was worth every penny.

A hotel and a location that seems like it was picked up from the pages of your favourite fairy tale! Craig-y-Dderwen is an amazing place in a fantastic location. While the price reflects that, I did not for a moment feel as if I was overpaying for anything and it was totally worth it. What makes this hotel even more worthwhile is the lovely staff and Michelle is by far the warmest, kindest and most amazing person you could ask to help make your stay beautiful and memorable! A hidden gem. We found this place by accident and it was the best beer garden in the area by a mile. Friendly staff were icing on the cake. Definitely recommended on a sunny day!

We had four poster with hot tub and dual aspect view of the river and Snowdonia which was amazing.. The Best view we ever been.. so lovely💗
